A bespoke service

Here at Ribble Valley Slate we offer a bespoke service for both our graphite and green natural slates which includes cutting to your exact dimensions and shapes, polishing, finishing edges, having them sealed (or not if you prefer) and delivery anywhere in the UK. Or beyond? Maybe you can be our first foray in continental Europe? Or Australia. Or the International Space Station?

We keep a large range of sizes in stock, most of which is 30mm thick but we can also offer 20mm and up to 60mm if required. To be honest though, we usually try to talk customers out of the thicker material as you’re effectively paying a lot more for slate which you basically can’t see or get any real benefit from. Instead, we can cut plinths from the same slate to create a “deeper” look.

In order to keep costs down for you and to avoid excessive wastage, we keep sizes from 1200 x 300mm right up to mahoosive 2000 x 900mm pieces. If, somehow, your castle requires a bigger piece than that, well, look, it’s not all about size you know? And B. We can always create you something in two pieces and make a feature out of the joint? Yes, we know you hadn’t thought of that, because that’s what WE do. Shown on this page are a few examples of what we’ve supplied previously, from the simple rectangle/square shape, to “T” shapes, quarter circles, semi circles, rhomboids and farmyard animal shapes.
